Amber Bowen and Autumn Shields Clog Like Crazy for Make-A-Wish

Amber Bowen and Autumn Shields of The Alliance shared their talent for clogging long before they worked together. Growing up together as members of The Elite Feet Clogger in Burlington, NC, Amber was working at The Alliance and recommended Autumn for an internship that turned full time. But it was Integrity’s Got Talent that finally brought the clogging duo back together. They decided to dust off their shoes after a few years “in retirement” to record and produce a video. Was it easy to just start dancing again? Sort of — they remarked it was just like riding a bike “. . . up a mountain, in 120-degree weather.”

Choosing their charity was the easy part. Amber and Autumn chose the Make-A-Wish Foundation, to support all that the organization does to help kids enjoy being kids, even if just for a little while.

Amber says, “Here at The Alliance, we have a lot of staff whose family and friends have benefitted from Make-A-Wish Foundation. Even Autumn’s cousin, Peyton, could soon be in the running for a wish of her own.” Autumn explains, “Peyton was born with something called esophageal atresia and several different birth defects that have severely affected her life. So, Peyton’s wish is to meet Luke Combs, and maybe even other country artists. It’s something she really wants. So, we’re so excited we are in the top five, knowing we get a guaranteed $1000 for Make-A-Wish. And maybe even more!”
